Jason Ayers

I’m a graphic artist that learned to love programming. Today I create custom web applications with a focus on usable interfaces.

My career started in web design & development in 1993 working for Internet Direct, the first commercial ISP in Arizona (I remember when tables and background colors were new features in html). We did some exciting work in those early days, most notably hacking the BSD kernel to create and market the first virtual server: I-Site/GoSite.

Later half of the 90’s was spent on solo consulting gigs for New Times, US Web and Emerald Net. Prior to the web I worked in the pre-press industry and wrote production automation systems. Before that I did freelance computer animation and was an Amiga advocate. I spent a good portion of my early teenage years logged into local BBS’s as beetle87 with a Commodore 128 and a 1200 baud modem. First computer was a Commodore VIC-20 with a 300 baud modem.

Today its all about Web 2.0
